Upon entering, you will have the sensation of stepping back in time, perhaps because Alessandro understands and lives his workshop as in the Florentine Renaissance. Recognized as a Museum by the Department of Fine Arts of Florence, the Atelier of Master Dari is located on the ancient Via di San Niccolò, just a few steps from Ponte Vecchio, in the heart of the historic center of Florence. For the Master, goldsmithing is an art no less important than others, which in his opinion has not yet received the full recognition it deserves. For a long time I never entered, partly because I felt intimidated by the beauty of the place, which seemed beyond my reach, and partly because I believed it to be a 'touristic' spot. None of this is true. I assure you it is worth entering this bar, even just for a coffee, and you will be captivated by the beauty of the view, feeling as if you were on a boat, stationary on the Arno, facing Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi, and the Vasarian Corridor. THE PATENT OF UASHMAMA PAPER. Walking through the historic center of Florence always offers pleasant discoveries, especially for a shopping enthusiast like me. The products displayed are the expression of the creativity of a family-run artisan shop that has innovated starting from a deep knowledge of Tuscan craftsmanship. In particular, they patented UASHMAMA paper, composed of virgin fibers that come from plantations and not from deforestation.
