TOUR GUIDE OF FLORENCE

My name is Livia Del Monaco and I am a tour guide

I chose this job with a desire to bring together all the skills and knowledge I’ve acquired trought my education and work experience. I’m an art historian and have always been interested in the enjoyment of historical and artistic heritage, in its various forms, placing at the center of the experience the person and his specific needs, be they children, students, the elderly or people with special needs.

For me, a guided tour is the pleasure of sharing an experience, which is why I became a Florence tour guide. Florence isone of the most famous cities in the world, and for this reason, it often risk being as a “postcard city”. A Florence guide can introduce you to the city and its surrounding area, freeing it from this limiting connotation.

who I am

This city has, in a small perimeter, a high concentration of works of art, in an urban layaut layered with testimonies from varius historical eras, from its Roman foundation to the present day. Founding your way around is no easy task, especially if you have a short time. A guide’s role is precisely to facilitate the enjoment of this enormous historical and artistic heritage, designing itineraries and visits that best meet the expectations and needs of those requesting them.

I offer my exepience as a guide of Florence at your disposal to coordinate itineraries and select the museums that will most interest you, withouth overlooking the lesser- known streets, the most fascinating places, and the stories of a men and a women who have contribuited to the city’s great history.
